Miss Tamara

Hi, my name is Tamara Bridal. I am the owner and manager of You Care, We Care Daycare. I have been in the childcare field for eight years now, five of which I owned and operated my own in home daycare. My in home daycare grew so fast that we needed to expand to a bigger facility. That is when we moved it to Ferndale Elementary School where we have been located as a licensed group child care center since 2008. Because of my love for children I completed my Infant and Toddler Diploma and have my Early Childhood Education certificate. I am currently working towards getting my Bachelors of Arts in Child and Youth Care. I encourage my staff to attend workshops to improve their training. I lead by example, some of my training includes: First Aid, Montessori training, Level I sign language, emergency preparedness and food safe, just to name a few. I am continuously attending workshops. I have been married for 23 years to my husband Darin. We have three beautiful girls, Esteel, Tanesha and Shaqala. We live in Mission and are all actively involved in the community. I can honestly say that, I wish I knew what I know now, before I had my girls, because as an ECE I truly see the importance of daycare and preschool for our children. Many parents thank me on a daily basis for what their children are learning at our center. I give credit and a huge applause to my staff.

Hi, my name is Melissa Richmond. I am the head supervisor for the daycare and a qualified Early Childhood Assistant in the 3-5 and Infant and Toddler classrooms. I am also currently furthering my education at the University of the Fraser Valley, working towards my Bachelors Degree in Child & Youth Care. I am always up for any training that can prepare me better to care for children, some of my training includes: Montessori training, First Aid, Emergency Prepardness and more. This is my first job in the childcare field. Although it is my first job as a qualified teacher, I have been caring for children most of my life. I grew up as the oldest child in a big family, caring for children came naturally to me. Growing up I knew that I would find a job that suits me somewhere in the childcare field - right now I'm enjoying myself so much building relationships with all the children.

Miss Angela

Hi, my name is Angela McCarthy.  I am a qualified Infant/Toddler Educator and work in the infant/toddler classroom.  I have been in the field since 2004 and love the infant & toddler age group best!  My favorite thing about working with infant & toddlers, is helping them learn new skills, like putting their own jackets on, or feeding themselves, or potty training.  The children reach so many milestones during this period, that it is so exciting.  I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher and make a difference in a child's life.  I am excited to become a part of this great team and look forward to working with your children!  I have been a volunteer Brownie leader with Girl guides of Canada for the past 15 years.  I live in Abbotsford with my husband Trevor, and our two daughters who come to the daycare too.

Miss Katie

Hi, my name is Katie Kwak. I just recently graduated with my ECE certificate and will be working in the 3-5 classroom. I have always looked up to my teachers and coaches and they inspired me to pursue teaching. This also influenced me to start coaching girls hockey four years ago in Abbotsford. While I was a hockey instructor I fell in love with teaching children. It was an easy decision to go back to school for my ECE. I really look forward to teaching your children and seeing them grow and excel to their full potential. I live in Abbotsford with my husband, John. In my spare time I enjoy playing ice hockey, ball hockey and fastball.
