Happy May!
This is going to be a short note as last month turned out to be a busy one and we did not have a parents meeting. However, this Thursday May 3rd we will be having our get together down at Starbucks in the Junction at 8pm. Hope to see many of you there!
We would love to say a HUGE congratulations to Mr. Justin and his beautiful wife Rachel in the birth of their baby boy Jude. We are so happy and excited for you! The journey ahead is amazing.
We would also like to say goodbye to Miss Kayla in the Infant Toddler Room. We will miss your positive attitude and love for the children.

Happy April Everyone!
We had a nice get together at City Blends Coffee Shop a couple weeks ago. We will be doing this again this month probably in the third week or so. We will be sending home notices in lunchboxes again with a proper date and time soon. During our get together we discussed a couple of topics you may be interested in.
Lost and Found: it’s apparent that not many of us have been going through the Lost and Found box to claim any of our kid’s ‘mis-belongings’ and we thought it would be great for YCWC to possibly donate it soon to one of Mission’s 2nd hand stores. This will probably happen soon so if you feel the need to take a look at the items prior to their removal, it may be a good idea to do it this coming week. YCWC will probably be putting up alerts or posters to let us know an exact deadline. We were reassured that YCWC does a regular disinfecting spray of the lost and found box to help lessen any potential spreading of germs.
*if you have any ideas on how to start a different system regarding lost and found items to avoid a massive collection of unwanted clothes, let us know!
Communicable Infections: the month of March was a germy one! Many of us noticed several signs up around the doors and received email alerts regarding potential contagious infections. While we have avoided any Whooping Cough in the daycare, there were a couple of other fun things going around, including some misdiagnosed scares. Of course this is a completely normal thing to happen at any daycare where there are kids running around. Some of us chose to keep our kids home during these times. Our simple request to YCWC was to alert the parents as soon as these infections are over or as soon as they learn it was a misdiagnosis. This way we can arrange to have our kids return to the daycare and carry on with daily routines as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing more of you this April at our group get together!

Welcome New Parents!
It’s nice seeing the new faces of both kids and parents in the hallways and classrooms at You Care We Care.
We would like to say hello and let you know that we are an ‘informal parents group’ that enjoys being involved with our children’s daycare and involved with the teachers looking after them.
Maybe this is your first daycare experience or perhaps you’ve been to one before. Either way, we would love to hear from you with any ideas you may have in regards to improving our children’s time spent at daycare.
Or, if there were any concerns or questions you have, we would like to help get them answered for you too.
The environment for our kids at You Care We Care is one of the best in Mission, we feel this is a result of the facilities, the staff and the parents all working together.
